City of Heavenly Fire Internal Release Celebration - Malec Edition (Day 1)

So today is May 24nd, which means there is exactly 3 days and who knows how may hours and minutes before City Of Heavenly Fire (My most anticipated book of 2014) is released.

On the 4th of April 2014, well over a month ago, I posted my first crackpot theories on the blog with my theories at that point in time. I don't necessarily agree with all of them now and when I look back at it now some seem pretty unlikely to me. However, not to worry, I have a brand new Crackpot Theory. This is part of my three day City Of Heavenly Fire Release Celebration. Today is day 1 and I have decided to have a post on my favorite couple of all time, Malec.

This are my crackpot theories, but they might as well also be my hopes for the books, all this are scenarios that I have imagined and cried over. A lot. over the past two years actually, I get this weird phase every few months where I get all sad and depressed and hopeful when I think of Malec.

With the amount of time that I have in my hands, I have since come up with and reformed new and and old ideas respectively. I will be separating this post into four headings.

1. If Alec dies...
2. If Magnus dies...
3. If Alec & Magnus die...

*The Alec & Magnus die part also includes them surviving and how they die afterwards.

I would recommend that you do not read this until you have read all of Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter books. This will be full of spoilers so if you have not read the mortal instruments at least, please do not read this. Also, there may actually be spoilers for the actual book on the chance I become a book mind reader of some sort. So read at your own risk:)

And now, let the City of Heavenly Fire Release Celebration BEGIN!

First up, If Alec Dies...

As mentioned, I have actually thought about this topic about Malec dying before because I have phases in the year. For the past one and a half year, I have actually been pretty sure that Alec is going to die because I personally feel there is a higher chance. 

Honestly, I would not have been disappointed by that thought either. I'm not trying to be mean or ruin my OTP but I feel that there would be so much more impact if Alec died. Maybe even before Malec got back together. 

Possibly, and this is something I cry so much about, is the fact that perhaps Alec could be dying and maybe as he lies on the ground alone, he suddenly sees Magnus and the last thing that Alec ever sees is Magnus' beautiful cat eyes, and then he closes his eyes forever. Then, Magnus runs forward and falls to the ground beside Alec and cries something like, "Alec. Alec. Please. Please. Wake up. Please.

 Please."  

Another scenario that I have is that Alec would see Alec in trouble and sacrifice himself for Magnus in whatever way possible, maybe it could be a jump in front of my beloved scenario. It could even be a give up my life energy for my beloved kind of thing. But anyway, Magnus can't help him either because he has no energy left or Magnus just cannot heal him. Magnus and Alec have this sweet talk and at the end, Alec says his last words which include something about Magnus continuing to find happiness and then he dies.

Isn't it FUN thinking about such stuff! I hope your heart hurts as much as mine does too. Not forgetting the fact that I read fluff, then tragic then fluff then tragic fanfiction which makes it 3929047309428402384902849038402 worse than anything. 

WORD OF ADVICE - DON'T EVER READ FLUFF THEN TRAGIC THEN FLUFF THEN TRAGIC FANFICTION IN CYCLES. IT WILL HURT SO BADLY. IT STILL HASN'T STOPPED HURTING. IT WILL NEVER STOP HURTING.

If Magnus Dies...

It would tear me apart. 

My favorite character in the whole mortal instruments series. I have this theory of Magnus being the one dying happily of old age which was being teased by Cassie Clare (She only mentioned that someone would die happily of old age). However, this is a theory that I feel can be better discussed in the IF ALEC & MAGNUS DIE part of this blog post. 

So anyways, I don't think Magnus will die. I think this is actually the least likely among all four of the categories. I cannot imagine Magnus dying. I just cannot. I also could not imagine Malec broken up but they are - oh well. I really hope Magnus will not die because then I think there will be much less to write. But if Magnus does die...

I hope that if Magnus dies, it would be like the first Alec scenario where he is on the floor along and dying. And the last thing he hears is Alec calling out for him, last thing he sees is Alec suffering and crying and all... Sigh. This is making me so very sad. Sigh.

If Alec and Magnus Die (somewhat together)...

 

If both of them die together... Well, I think this is still pretty unlikely but still possible because obviously everything is possible as authors adore stabbing our hearts with knifes and making all that pain come.

There are three cases if Alec and Magnus die. 

One, they die in the COHF during the Sebastian chaos thing. 
 Second, they die after COHF but they don't manage to grow old together. 

The third one is the one I'm hoping for the most. The third one is also what I'm hoping happens in a teaser that Cassie mentioned about how someone would die happily of old age. My theory and hope is that both of them will survive and somehow along the way Magnus loses his immortality of Alec. Afterwards, they manage to grow old together and finally in the epilogue of COHF, we see Magnus talk about his life and then he dies of old age happily because he has lived a fulfilling live with Alec.   think it really could happen and I would really want it to because I love them so much. It would make me so so so happy with it.

Crackpot Theories - Who will die? (City of Heavenly Fire by CassandraClare)

BEWARE!

So City of Heavenly Fire is coming out in about 2 months and I'm really really excited for it! In fact, it's my most anticipated book of 2014! I've loved the Mortal Instruments series for a really long time. It's in my top 5 favourite series of all time.

So Cassandra Clare sent out news a while ago about how 5 named characters would be dead in the last book. Here, I am going to discuss the possibilities of certain characters dying - and possibly how I hope they may die if they die and what are the consequences, etc.

Firstly, some people think that Clary or Jace may die but I'm mostly sure that both of them will survive because Jace died before so I think he wouldn't die again... And Clary just doesn't seem like the type who will die in this book. If she does I'm calling this a #pullingaveronicaroth because ahemTrisdiedahem. Yeah.

So next, I am pretty sure either Alec or Magnus will die. Maybe both, but most likely not. I don't want either of them to die. But if they do, I'm hoping its Alec. I don't know I don't want Isabelle to lose both brothers but I want to see a Magnus croutching over Alec sobbing scene because I need it. I want it. And I just can't see Magnus dying in this book. I have a very huge feeling Alec will die instead. The other day, I saw this new picture that Cassandra Jean posted after reading the book. It was a shadowhunter with black hari on the floor in a pool of blood. Here's a picture:

I have a feeling it's Alec, otherwise it's Sebastian but I don't think Sebastian will die because otherwise it would be really cliché so no please. And it looks like Alec to me. So so much. And that quote, feels like something he would say after his break-up with Magnus. Oh my poor babies (OTP).

Next, I'm hoping that Isabelle and Simon will survive because come on its Isabelle and Simon. I love Isabelle and I'm pretty sure she won't die. And I'm guessing if Alec does die then Cassie Clare won't kill Simon because otherwise Isabelle would really be really alone. And I don't want that.

I won't write about all the characters because I can't remember everyone. But I'll try. At least those I can talk about (:

Next, okay I don't think Tessa and Jem will die. If you don't know who they are, they are from the Infernal Devices (: I won't spoil much but they are supposed to appear in the final book. They just appeared so I don't think they will die. Also, because of the ending of the Clockwork Princess (Infernal Devices #3).

The next pairing who I think may die is Maia and Jordan. I won't mind if they die because I didn't like them much in the first place.  I think if they die, they should die together because its much more romantic to me at least. I don't have much to comment about this couple but I wouldn't mind if they die.

Lastly, I think Jocelyn and/or Luke will die. Honestly, I hope they don't but if they did I wouldn't feel as bad as I would if other characters died. Oh well.

Okay. I think this is the end of my Crackpot Theories - Who will die? TMI edition! I may eventually have edition 2 but who knows (:

Marissa Meyer is brilliant. 

Literally.

The Lunar Chronicles is her debut but they are so SO good. This is one of my favourite series of all time. I honestly cannot wait for her next series - which according to goodreads will be an Alice in Wonderland theme kind of book? I'm not too sure. But honestly I'm just excited.

Now here's what's good about the series as a whole. EVERYTHING. The world. OMigosh I LOVE the world. I'm not a huge sci-fi person but I loved this world. I loved the start, how Kai meets Cinder, and most of all how Marissa Meyer snuck all the actual fairytale moments into the book without anyone noticing it. Or else she twists it into something even better then what had been which is a really genius and risky thing to do but something she did pretty well in all three of her books, something which I applaud her for!

Also let me just say, ahem, CinderKaiScarletWolfCressThorne and eventually WinterJacin. I swear I love all of them. In a series, I usually don't ship more than 2 couples if all of them are main characters but in this series. ALL of them deserve to be shipped. (I will do a relationship Analysis maybe some time soon!)

Okay so on to just CRESS. In this book, we officially get introduced to the darling Cress, who I think is the love interest for the all wonderful and interesting Captain Thorne. (He's in a tie with Prince oops Emperor Kai on who's my favourite male character in the book. I love captain thorne because he's just funny and seems playful but underneath, he's just so dependable. However I love Kai because, well he's Kai. And I love his seriousness and passion for Cinder and his sarcastic side and well just everything. - decisionsdecisions i'll eventually make a post about all the characters once and for all as an overview but that will be after Winter is out.) 

So anyways, back to Cress and Thorne. Cress is just this adorable little thing who has a crush on Thorne before they even meet (you'll find out why when you read the book - its adorable! She's adorable) So basically, you finally get to see ALL the main characters in this book which is great. However, they will get separated in the book where you will see perspectives of all the characters. This once again shows Marissa Meyer's great talent in writing as  she has to write different perspectives but intwine all their journeys eventually. At the same time, she cannot forget/get confused about the character's personality, other character's personality and all their surroundings, timeframes, and so on and so forth. In fact, I think that although she had more trouble writing this book, this may be her best book out of the three as of now. So really, go and pick up that book, and READ it!

Time for the all wonderful Crackpot Theories segment! Here we discuss my weird most likely unlikely ideas and I put questions down which I don't know what will happen but we can discuss! <3

1. Winter becomes Queen in the end instead of Cinder?

Personally I don't like this idea because I feel then the goal of the 4 books would just be crushed. A goal is very important for all stories, especially fantasy fiction kind of books, so if Winter becomes Queen because Cinder doesn't want to be and Cinder returns to Earth just like that I won't like it as much... Unless, there is a really really really good reason. And omigosh please don't give that cliché about Cinder becoming the ambassador or something of both planets?!!!!!

2. Marissa Meyer has been using Tangled as inspiration for Cress?

I'm not too sure about this, but I think this would be cool. Some parts do seem similar? I think. Like how Thorne (Cress) and Flynn Rider (Tangled) are like both not serious but when it comes to serious stuff, they are dependable and stuff. And it takes a while for them to fall in love with Cress/Rapunzel. Also, if you have watched Tangled, the Disney Movie, it will seem like Cress has a similar personality to Rapunzel in Tangled. So I don't know but it would be really cool to me if this was like true.

3. What happened to Scarlet?

Okay so, Scarlet didn't have many scenes. But when she appeared oh hell yeah. However, I really want to know what happened to her hand, what happened to her in more detail, why was she with Winter and stuff. Any ideas? 

4. Who exactly is Winter? What's her personality really like? Why does Jacin like her?

Winter. Currently, when I think of Winter, I think of someone who's alittle weird. A little psycho? I'm not sure. But if Jacin likes her she can't be that bad? How will she play a part in the last book though. I mean Marissa Meyer is a genius so I know she will think of great things and I'm really excited!
